ONGOING EVENT INITIATIVES
WATERWAYZGOOSE is a collaborative, multi-year project consisting of letterpress printing, bookbinding, lectures, tours, and public education initiatives that celebrate historic transportation routes along canals and the Great Lakes. Patti has worked on the project with Leah Mackin since 2018.

CHICAGO HISTORY 101 is an annual winter lecture series presented by Chicago for Chicagoans. Featuring a different guest speaker & topic every week, programming is tied together by each year's theme. Patti manages, promotes, and curates the series, which has taken place at Room 13 since 2017, and has been streamed virtually since 2020.
FULTON MARKET DESIGN DAYS is an annual event bringing attention to the 35+ design-led commercial furnishing brands headquartered in Chicago's Fulton Market neighborhood. In her role as a Project Manager for Oetee, Patti has helped organize the event and its logistics — from working with the local chamber of commerce, to coordinating event logistics, securing proper event permits, supervising outside contractors, communicating with clients, and overseeing event staffing during all three days of the festivities. |
SELECTED PAST PROJECTS
BRICKS INC has been salvaging Chicago common brick since 1968. Today, the business places a strong emphasis on education and the value of history. In her former role as Marketing Director, Patti created extensive educational content and infographics, gave tours of the 7-acre facility, managed event logistics, and lectured architects, designers, and contractors on the proper use and maintenence of brick.
In 2021, Patti spearheaded an official Chicago Architectural Biennial partner event that brought together speakers and presenters from Bricks Inc, Chicago for Chicagoans, Brick of Chicago, and SOIL LAB. |
The Wells Book Arts Summer Institute was an annual two-week intensive featuring a rotating selection of classes in the book arts. Patti attended and later co-ran the event between 2016-2019. Attendees included college students, academics, hobbyists, and professionals from across the country.

In her work as a "Field Agent" for off-the-beaten-path events company Atlas Obscura, Patti created, planned, coordinated, budgeted, and promoted at least twelve events per year from 2016 to 2019. Programming ran the gamut from scavenger hunts, to tours, murder mystery parties, film screenings, cemetery events, and more.
In 2018 and 2019, Patti and co-planner Leyla Royale hosted a history-infused modern version of the First Ward Ball, Chicago's notorious turn-of-the-century political fundraiser for the vice district. Featuring over a dozen different live performances, history lectures, and even a cocktail robot, the annual 200-person shindig was the largest endeavor in the country wholly produced by local chapter agents.

MOSAIC is Albany Park's first & only arts festival. In 2018, as a contractor for the North River Commission, Patti created the 5-day event, its website and promotional materials, coordinated the schedule and participation of over 30 different local businesses, and worked alongside NRC staff and volunteers to ensure the event went smoothly.

In 2019, Patti again worked alongside NRC staff to organize, promote, and coordinate "Tastes & Tours of Albany Park," a three-day schedule of history and food walking tours, and "Flavors of Albany Park," the popular annual restaurant crawl involving over 40 different restaurants across three routes.
In 2019, Patti was contracted to plan & run School of the Art Institute of Chicago's annual Teacher Toolbox event. Over 300 Illinois educators eligible for CPDU credit attended this event designed for high school art and design teachers.

In 2018, as an employee for North Park University, Patti was tasked with planning, promoting, & running the School of Business and Nonprofit Management's annual Networking Dinner — a 150-person formal dinner.
